Progress: Completion

Our design strategy was to explore traditional and contemporary arts of Bulgaria and reinterpret them into our architecture. Woodcarving, weavings and ceramic designs were used to produce the façade design.

Contemporary artists and techniques then incorporated to break down the geometric design, allowing the design to move from the traditional to the modern.

The rigid graphics of the traditional designs are blurred, allowing the building to present itself as a contemporary architecture which defers to its past while looking to the future of Bulgarian arts
